Mary Jane and I moved to Seskinore just a little under a year ago. We left a four story home ( attic and basement) to our new one floor condo. A lot fewer steps but a lot more usable space. More comfort, more convenience and more easy living.
Through the patience, persistance and customer friendly services of agent Sandy Hogan and Tom Burns we selected our new condo from floor plans and drawings and countless quetions. I am sure some sounded pretty stupid.
The decision made, we put our home of twenty eight years up for sale and began clearing out he accumulation of fifty years. More to get rid of meant less to move.
We proceeded to start the selection process for the options that were available; cabinets, fixtures, flooring et al. The suppliers were , with no exception, extremely helpful and highly professional. It was a joy to deal with them all.
Perhaps our most pleasant experience was dealing with Charlie and Jeff Garrison of Garrison Homes and with their workers. They could not have been more cooperative. From the placing of electrical outlets to the mini changes we requested, all were handled with nary a grimace or a frown. This was hardly our first experience with builders and realtors but it was by far our most pleasant.
Last July we moved in. A beautiful lawn with sprinkler system, trees, bushes, etc. by Precision Landscapers all maintained via a modest condo fee. We left a small. one car garage to a spacious two car one with a large sink and hot/cold water. The second car (mine) finally has a roof over its head, No more scraping ice and snow on freezing mornings.
Mary Jane would have much more to cheer about. I will just mention a large great room, A well appointed and roomy kitchen with lots of cabinet space, a private master bedroom suite with a walk-in closet and bath with dual sinks and a large shower. The guest bedroom has its own convenient bath. A third bedroom we use as a den.
The big bonus for me that you can't fathom from a floor plan is the back porch that faces wooded, environmentally protected area. Here is where we spend hours watching the birds, squirrels and rabbits feed and cavort. We have had seldom used patios in the past but our porch is used daily, rain or shine.
The only thing less that we miss is neighbors. There are more units available for folks who don't know what they are missing.
